YU Library Lecture | Herman Prins Salomon (1930–2021) and his Portuguese Love Story {Onsite and via Zoom} Online

Join Professor Claude (Dov) Stuczynski (Bar-Ilan University) for a memorial lecture in honor of the historian of Portuguese Jewry, Prof. Herman Prins Salomon. Stuczynski will offer an analysis of Salomon’s personal attachment to the Portuguese people and their rich culture and illustrate how it informed his approach to the history of Western Sephardim and the Inquisition.

The Salomon family were early supporters of the Sephardic Studies program at Yeshiva University. Upon his passing four years ago, Prof. Salomon donated his personal library to YU. We are proud to honor his legacy and scholarship with this Meldado--memorial lecture.

This event is cosponsored by the Diasporas Project at the Rabbi Arthur Schneier Program for International Affairs and the Bernard Revel Graduate School.

This event will take place in person and online.  See infomation below.
